Tolbert Performance Engineering is a family owned and operated company located in Central Alabama.  The company was founded by Robert (Robby) Tolbert and his son Joshua (Josh) Tolbert.  Robby and Josh are both Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about cars, motorcycles and performance.

Our Business

Tolbert Performance Engineering is a fairly small family owned and operated company.  This allows TPE to produce products tailored to a customer's specific needs.  This results in a custom product without the "custom-built" price tag.

Who We Are

President - Robert T. "Robby" Tolbert, P.E. (rtolbert.com) is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 33 years of work experience in mechanical, industrial and construction industries. 

Currently holding two U.S. Patents, with two more in the works, Robby is an innovative individual.  Technically qualified with two degrees and professional registration in several states, hands-on experience, natural insight for analytical thought involving machinery, accidents or structures, Robert T. Tolbert, P.E., is an excellent engineer for design, analysis, consultation or testimony.

Vice President - Joshua A Tolbert, E.I.T. is a Doctoral Candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama. Josh acquired both his Bachelors and Masters Degree prior to the age of 23.  This is a testament to his mechanical aptitude, work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Josh has been exposed to mechanical fundamentals since an early age.  He has spent years learning from his father, Robby, about various mechanical principles.  This, in combination with years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems, has served him well in his career and education.
